This June, our CREATE team received a 5-year, 1 Million dollar Advanced Rehabilitation Research Training (ARRT) grant from NIDILRR for their training program entitled: Physical Computing and Fabrication to Enhance Community Living and Participation. This award will support training for four postdoctoral fellows across disciplines of rehabilitation, engineering, computer science, and disability studies. The goal of this program is to train future leaders in rehabilitation research with a focus on physical computing and fabrication to improve accessibility and inform assistive technology solutions identified by disability communities. Heather is a co-PI on the project along with Jennifer Mankoff (CSE), Anat Caspi (CSE), and Kat Steele (ME).
