Heather Feldner had the privilege of being part of an Accessibility Panel during this year’s IdeaGen Conference at Microsoft. Moderated by Scott Saponas from Microsoft Research, following a keynote from Jake Wobbrock on ability-based design, fellow panelists included Drs. Kat Steele and Jake Wobbrock from UW, and Oscar Murillo from Microsoft. The discussion centered on accessibility as a key feature of any design, creating allyship with disability communities, and including disabled people in every step of design and fabrication.
